Our Coaches

The Edson Figure Skating Club is proud to have a coaching team with exceptional experience and a deep passion for the sport. Our coaches have competed at the highest levels, including national, international, and Olympic competition, and have coached athletes at both Olympic and international levels.

They bring that level of knowledge, discipline, and insight directly to our skaters, creating an environment where strong fundamentals, confidence, and growth come first.

More importantly, they are committed to supporting each skater as an individual, helping them build resilience, develop their skills, and reach their full potential both on and off the ice.

Is the 1990 Canadian National Champion, she has also showcased her elite skill on the international stage. After retiring from competitive skating, she transitioned into coaching and choreography, bringing her extensive experience to the rink. Lisa now coaches in Edson, Alberta, we are beyond lucky to have someone of her expertise within our club! She helps skaters of all levels develop their skills and reach their full potential. With a focus on technique, artistry, and personal growth, Lisa’s coaching inspires skaters to excel both on and off the ice.

Kelsey Dezutter

I completed my Gold Dance & Gold Skills test levels. I was a member of the Alberta Junior Development Team. I was a Novice, Sectionals Competitor before starting my coaching career in 2002. I have been very fortunate to work with many skilled and highly intelligent skaters who have grown up to become accountants, nurses, doctors, psychologists, etc.
