Parents and Guardians

We want to take a moment to outline some key expectations and guidelines for parents and
skaters of the Edson Figure Skating Club to ensure a positive and productive environment for
our skaters, coaches, and families.

1. Sick Days: If your skater is unwell, please refrain from attending lessons. The health
and safety of all participants is our top priority. If your skater is unable to attend due to
illness, kindly notify a coach with as much notice as possible.

2. Arrears: Skating lessons are contingent on the timely payment of fees. If there are any
outstanding payments or arrears greater than 2 weeks, lessons will be suspended until
Arrangements have been made for payment. In cases of arrears owed to a coach, no 
other coach will be able to provide services until the issue is resolved, per Skate Canada
regulations.

3. Code of Ethics: We expect all parents, guardians, and skaters to adhere to the Skate
Canada’s Code of Ethics. This includes respect for coaches, skaters, and fellow families.
A copy of the Code of Ethics is available upon request.

4. Verbal Aggression: Verbal aggression will not be tolerated in any form. This includes
any inappropriate language or behaviour directed towards coaches, board members, or
other participants. We ask that all concerns be addressed in a respectful and
constructive manner. If you have a concern or issue, please wait 24 hours before
addressing it. If you still wish to address it after this time, direct all communications to the
Edson Figure Skating Club's official email address (edsonfsc@hotmail.ca). We also
ask that all parents refrain from expressing concerns amongst each other in the dressing
room so we can ensure our dressing room remains a safe and positive environment for
all of our skaters.

5. PA Payment: Program Assistance (PA) hours will only be compensated if all outstanding
club and coaching fees are fully paid. Please ensure all payments are up to date in order
to receive PA payment.

6. Leaving Mid-Session: If you need to leave a session before it is completed, please
inform the coach directly. This ensures proper planning for the session and respects the
time of all involved, as well ensures the safety of all our skaters.

We appreciate your attention to these important matters and your continued support in fostering
a respectful, organized, and enjoyable environment for our skaters. Should you have any
